Waterford Walls celebrated its 12^th Festival this summer. It was originally was created to break down the barriers between art and communities, and to utilise street art as a powerful tool in urban regeneration. Its mission has been to create spaces for artists and communities to connect and thrive.

Nolan Farrell & Goff has supported Waterford Walls for a number of years, and this year in an even more tangible manner. It commissioned a piece of art for its own wall at the top of Park Road.

Created by MUL, the title Return to Sender is a nod to the familiar postal phrase, while also playing with the idea of the post box itself becoming part of the artwork. The result is a characterful mural that brings a fresh sense of colour, humour and creativity to the street.

MUL is a UK-based artist known for his distinctive, playful visual language and clever interventions within the urban environment. His work often incorporates simple, instantly recognisable forms and characters, responding directly to the architecture and objects around them. For Return to Sender, MUL took inspiration from the existing post box built into the wall, creating a playful piece that blurs the line between the everyday and the unexpected.
